ALFI's corporate social responsibility

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) plays a key role at ALFI, forming an integral part of the association’s culture and global strategy. ALFI represents the interests of a financial industry worth over EUR 4,600 billion. Our ambition is to further enhance Luxembourg’s position as the international fund centre of reference, recognised as open, reliable and innovative by investors, policymakers and industry alike, and ALFI commits to ensuring the highest industry standards.

In 2020, ALFI successfully renewed its CSR label delivered by the National Institute for Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibility (INDR) which ALFI was first awarded in 2014. By joining the community of socially responsible organisations in Luxembourg, ALFI actively supports the sustainable development, which we believe can only be achieved through an all-encompassing commitment: financial, social and ecological. The label has been extended in recognition of ALFI’s engagement to the corporate social responsibility policy and thus to the sustainable development of Luxembourg.

The official recognition of ALFI’s CSR corporate culture and its achievements was obtained following an audit including 23 questions regarding the three CSR pillars: governance, social responsibility and environment. The labelling process drives towards continuous improvement on multiple aspects such as governance, social dialogue, corporate values and culture, motivation, creativity and innovation.

ALFI’s CSR policy is based on three pillars:

  • Commitment to the highest industry standards,
  • Active involvement of our members in everything we do and
  • Irreproachable internal management.

ALFI’s CRS strategy and policy are being closely supervised by our coordinator Adina Lupu.
